MathML Technologies in the Xmath e-Learning Project

An overview of the technologies available to display (and evaluate) Mathematics on 
the Web is presented.  The possibility of carrying out threaded on-line 
conversations using Maths between groups of distant physicists, mathematicians, 
engineers and students/teachers is illustrated. Furthermore, the MathML tools being
tested within the Xmath.org project, which aims to demonstrate and evaluate the use
of XML (MathML) in mathematical courses on the Internet, are also discussed.
